You will be notified by e-mail when your sequences are finished. Let us know if you prefer a telephone call. The sequencing files can be accessed electronically from our web-server (for IU Researchers). This is a secure server that allows you to view only your files. A user name and password are required which will be assigned to you by the facility. Also, the color printouts of the electropherogram are provided unless specified on the order form. These color printouts can be picked up at Medical Science building, Room 4008.

You should receive the results in one business days unless there are unforeseen delays. In that event, you will be notified as soon as possible after the samples arrive at the facility.

The results for each sequence will be provided in two different files:

• A text file (.seq) with the base sequence. This file can be opened in word format. 
• An ABI file (.abi) contains the nucleotide sequence, electropherogram, and other information about the run conditions. This file requires the Chromas software to view it. Please download Chromas by clicking here.
